Deep-sea Worm Mermaidby ~Fireclaw

Yes, just like the title says. She is baised off a real worm species found in deep ocean. Drawn in pencil and inked with a nib pen. Then scanned and colored in photoshop. The coloring took longer than the inking which in itself was about 45 minutes. But yeah, as soon as I saw the photo of that worm I just had to draw her. Enjoy, Mermafied.

Very impressive. I like just about anyone who can come up with a new twist on a fantasy creature, particularly the weary humanoid ones (fairies, centaurs, mermaids, ect.)

You have done just that and it looks magnificent. The transparency is very well done and I like the way her hair goes. The plain background, while ordinarily not a good thing, makes this image stand out very well with its bold colors.
